Chia-Pi Chao

A filmmaker born and raised in Taiwan. Graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2007, she currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and works as an independent filmmaker. She aslo works part-time for Uplifting Entertainment as editor and camera operator. Her thesis film “Where Did Fish Go in Winter?” was recently selected by a monthly screening organization “Film Kitchen” to show in December. She is writing the script and going through pre-production phase of her next movie – A Better Home- a exploration of Chinese female immigrants’ life and experience in Pittsburgh. She plan to start shooting next Spring.
