Tulapop Saenjaroen was born in Chon Buri, Thailand, in 1986. He grew up in Bangkok and had lived both in Chon Buri and in Bangkok. He has been interested in art since he was in elementary school – from drawing, puppetry, voice performance, to writing poetry and short stories. When he was sixteen, Tulapop made his first short film and got interested in cinema. He tried to share his movies experience by curating an arthouse movie program in his high school festival. After graduated high school in Bangkok, he decied to go study abroad at School of the Art Institute of Chicago at the age of 18. Currently, he still studies in the school and keeps making artworks. The big impact to his works are the changes of his living enviroment(like the home town on the beach to such a chaotic city like Bangkok), the sudden loss of his father, and his unhealthiness. Most of his recent works are poetry, performance art, video, soundworks, and installation. Besides, he is the singer and the songwriter of the band called “Damn Chestnut”
